Henry Gluch: Soprano Saxophone
Henry's dill pickles are only eclipsed by his saxophone playing. He honed his pickle-making skills growing up in Montreal, where he also obtained a Bachelor of Music in saxophone performance from McGill University, studying with Gerald Danovitch (who studied with Arthur Romano who studied with Marcel Mule). Henry toured Europe and the U.S. with the Munich Quintet, which gave him the opportunity to sample pickles from other jurisdictions. Since moving to Toronto in 1984, he has performed on saxophone and clarinet with many classical, jazz and contemporary ensembles around the GTA. Henry's pickles have been served at fine homes across Ontario and Quebec and in the last few years he has diversified into fermented cabbage (i.e. sauerkraut)
